A copy editor will make sure that your book flows logically, is consistent, and feels complete. Your copy editor will first take a bird's-eye view of the manuscript to address its overall quality and "flow." He or she might suggest conceptual changes like moving a section of the manuscript so it will flow logically from one point to the next and improve overall clarity of your book.

While the copy editor will check syntax and punctuation, typically, a proofreader will give the final "finishing touch" to a manuscript after the copy editor has completed his or her work. If you are concerned about factual consistency (including references, indexes, data in your text, general style choices, word consistency, formatting, and punctuation), check out our consistency checking service. If you think you still need to rearrange or rewrite whole parts of your manuscript, check out our developmental editing service or even join a brainstorming session to map out the general direction of your book. Once finished, we also offer services to publish your manuscript on various platforms or to help you present your ideas in front of an audience.

Additional notes:

We will deliver the copy-edited manuscript as well as a style guide specific to your project.
If applicable, we can also provide suggestions for additional improvements for future editions of the book.
While copy editing, we track changes to your manuscript, which you can accept or reject (please note that this might require conversion into a different document format).

- You can ask specific questions about our coaching and how we'll work together.
- During the meeting, we will discuss what steps are required to reach your goal.
- If you do not have a goal yet, that is fine, too. We can discuss various topics; you select what path to pursue.

- If you are happy with the session, you can book individual coaching sessions.
- If applicable, we will send you an estimate with a summary of the planned work outside the coaching sessions.

After graduating from Harvard, I co-founded a research organization that created policy blueprints for the domestic policy councils of two White House administrations.
